Award-winning East Briscoe Farm Cottages are set in a beautifully peaceful,
south-facing position, on a 14-acre wooded riverside estate.
Set in truly beautiful North Dales countryside,
East Briscoe is the perfect place to escape the city and unwind; offering a wealth of interest for naturalists,
cyclists and walkers.
The cottages are situated in Baldersdale (made famous as the former home of Hannah Hauxwell), two miles from the village of Cotherstone,
which has two excellent pubs and a village shop/post office.
Guests can enjoy nature walks around the estate, fishing on the estate and in nearby reservoirs,
free-range eggs from the resident hens and seasonal food from the vegetable garden.
The cottages are owned and managed by Emma Wilson & Chris Tarpey (and daughter Grace), who live on site.
We also have a larger, 4 bedroom cottage available in Cotherstone (right next door to the pub!) - for more details
see Red Lion Cottage.
Winner of: Northumbria Self-catering of the Year, County Durham Environment Award, Durham Wildlife Trust Award, Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award.
